Wu Mingpei was born in 1971. Her artistic style is influenced by the Lingnan School’s water- and color-splashing techniques.

Blending them with a modern perspective, she transforms ink into flowing meditations on emotion and form. Indigo, ochre, and free-running washes replace the classical cunfa strokes, revealing ink’s own vitality.

Her works have been exhibited in several countries, including the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum and The National Art Center, Tokyo, as well as in Italy, the United States, and South Korea. She was also selected for the Salon d'Automne in Paris in 2025. In 2026, she gained remarkable recognition at Artexpo New York, where her works were selected for the “Discoveries Collection,” and her affiliated group received the honor of “Best International Exhibitor.”
